The big picture

As the book is complete, I’m trying to keep up the habit of writing. Over the last few weeks, I’ve been trying my hand at creative writing, which is outside my zone of comfort. But I love how it allows me to write more freely, unedited, if you will. I decided to post a series of poems exploring the Gospel story and what it means for those who place their faith in Christ.

The big picture

All that was made was good

Paradise and perfection

But thankfulness and trust turned into

doubt and defiance

Separation

Eternal consequence

The law made demands

But the law could not save

Always striving, ever falling short

Until love came

To restore what was lost

The greatest search and rescue mission

Dying and rising

The law satisfied

Freedom secured

By grace, through faith

All things made new
